About B&M Outdoor Services

In April the Nottoway River runs high and tea-colored past Courtland, the cypress leaf out along the banks, and Southampton County goes green all at once. B&M Outdoor Services opens the season mowing and trimming the wide flat yards of the courthouse village and the farm places out along the river road. Coastal-plain ground is level and sandy, which means a lawn can be cut beautifully even — no dips, no scalped high spots, just one continuous surface running out to the field edge. Summers here are long and humid and the grass never really pauses, so the schedule holds from the first cut clear through to fall cleanup. Driving out past a yard that is squared away with the pines behind it is reward enough.
