About W.E.L. Inc.

Storms in Concord tend to come in overnight, quiet as anything, and by two in the morning the backroads of Campbell County are one unbroken white line between the pines. W.E.L. Inc. runs those hours, plowing driveways, shop yards and church lots so the county can find the pavement again at daybreak. Rural clearing is a matter of distance and order — which long drive gets opened first, where the piles go so they do not block a turnaround, what will still be passable if it freezes hard by dawn. There is nothing quite like the last pass on a lot at first gray light, the surface dark and even from one end to the other. Then the headlights start showing up, and the day begins on time.
