About HCL Landscaping and Lawn Care, LLC

August afternoons in Campbell County build a thunderhead over the tobacco ground by three o'clock, and the mowing gets done in the cool window before it breaks. HCL Landscaping and Lawn Care, LLC keeps Concord's yards, drives and roadside frontage cut, edged and cleaned up through that heat, then handles the other extreme when a winter glaze puts a skin of ice over gravel and asphalt. Ice is its own problem out here — long rural drives, a slope down to the county road, no streetlights — and clearing one properly is worth more than clearing three in a hurry. In summer the reward is a lawn striped even from the fence to the porch steps; in January it is a drive with grit on it and traction underfoot. Piedmont weather does not moderate, so the work does not either.
