Grass Assassins

About Grass Assassins

By late July, Crab Creek runs low and the heat sits on Christiansburg well past supper, and grass takes off in defiant bursts after every thunderstorm that rolls off the ridges. Grass Assassins meets it head-on with mowing, string trimming, edging along drives and walks, and a sweep of the concrete afterward so the finish is sharp. Weeds volunteering in the gravel, a curb line gone shaggy, a fence row nobody can reach with a mower: those details decide whether a yard reads as kept. Fall cleanups and leaf removal close the year the same way, thoroughly, nothing left in the corners. The name has some swagger to it; the line along the sidewalk earns it.
