About Thompson Land Care LLC

Out toward Winterpock the county opens back into fields and long fence lines, and when a real snow does reach Chesterfield, that is where it looks like a painting. Thompson Land Care LLC is out well before sunrise — blade down on the driveways, walks and steps cleared to the pavement, salt laid where wind has scoured a lane to ice. Heavy snow is rare enough here that a whole county rearranges its plans around it, which makes an opened driveway count for more than usual. There is a stillness at first light after a storm, nothing moving but the plow and the steam off the truck. By the time the neighbors are up, the pavement is dark and the way out is clear.
