Orleans Co. Tree Service

About Orleans Co. Tree Service

Spring arrives in Chester as a green haze on the oaks along the old Route 1 corridor, pollen on every windshield between here and the Village Green. Orleans Co. Tree Service reads those trees while they are leafing out — tree removal where a trunk has gone hollow, trimming and pruning where a canopy crowds the eaves, storm damage cleanup when a summer cell rolls up off the Appomattox. Chesterfield yards were carved out of pine and hardwood, so half the job is deciding what stays and how to keep it standing. There is a plain pleasure in a cut limb landing right where it was aimed, and in a lawn at day's end with nothing left on it but stripes of late light. The work runs through Chester and out to Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Ettrick and the south side of Richmond.
