About D.K.H Outdoor Services
October is the honest season for a Virginia lawn. The heat lets go, the tulip poplars along Ashton Creek turn a clean yellow, and the fescue finally wants to grow again — which is when careful cutting, aeration and overseeding pay for themselves all the way to June. D.K.H Outdoor Services works Chester through that turn, mowing on schedule, trimming and edging, and moving the fallen leaves off before they mat down and smother what is underneath. A raked-out yard under low autumn light is one of the plainer pleasures of this county. It is also the reason next spring looks the way it does.
