Prograde Clean-Ups

About Prograde Clean-Ups

School mornings set the clock in Butts Station, and when a night of snow lands on Centerville Turnpike the whole neighborhood stands at the window watching the pavement. Prograde Clean-Ups puts plow and shovel to work in that window: driveways opened, sidewalks and entries cleared, salt on the sloped spots before anyone walks out with a backpack. Chesapeake gets so little snow that nobody is practiced at it, which makes the first cleared drive on a street feel like a small kindness. Stacking the piles where they will not block a sightline matters as much as moving them at all. By the time the buses come through, the street is just a street again.
