About Brooks Tree Services

South of the interstate, Chesapeake turns into farmland and blackwater, cypress standing in the shallows out toward the Dismal Swamp and loblollies leaning where the field gives way. Brooks Tree Services covers tree removal, trimming, pruning and storm damage cleanup across that half of the city and the neighborhoods stacked north of it. August is hurricane arithmetic — which limb rides over the roof, which crown has gone one-sided, what to take down now so nothing gets taken later. A trim made in the heat pays out in September, and when a storm does land, the work is the aftermath: trunk sectioned, brush hauled, yard raked back to green. Hickory, Fentress and on toward Suffolk and Virginia Beach: flat country, big skies, tall trees worth watching.
