About Moores Lawn Care

By Thursday the route has carried Moores Lawn Care from the shaded streets in town out to the long drives running toward the Roanoke River bottomlands, where grass grows fast and thick in the humid stretch of a Southside July. Mowing on a set schedule keeps a yard from ever getting ahead of you, and trimming and edging give it the finish. Spring means clearing the winter litter and tidying the beds before anything else can look right. In fall the pines drop their needles and the hardwoods follow close behind, and it all gets gathered and carried off before frost mats it into the turf. It's straightforward outdoor work, and the difference one afternoon makes is visible from the mailbox.
