About Walkers Landworx LLC

Belmont's streets tilt. So do the side lanes off Monticello Road and the brick walks that drop toward the Downtown Mall — grades steep enough to turn a half inch of sleet into something nobody can climb. Walkers Landworx LLC goes after those at four in the morning, headlights fogged, blade down, salt in the hopper. The work is plowing, shoveling and treating ice, and the payoff is small and exact: a stair tread scraped back to its own concrete, a curb cut opened wide enough for a wheel to cross. Charlottesville doesn't get buried often, but when the cold arrives it comes hard off the Southwest Mountains, and somebody has to be up ahead of it.
