Virginia Green Lawn Care

About Virginia Green Lawn Care

Charlottesville sits in a bowl between the Rivanna and the Blue Ridge, and the grass here knows it — thick and fast after an April rain, slow and gold by the end of August. Virginia Green Lawn Care works that whole arc: mowing and edging through the long green months, trimming the ragged corners, hauling off the leaves that drift along Pantops and the streets above Free Bridge. There is a real satisfaction in a lawn cut on the diagonal at six in the evening, when the light comes in low over the mountains and every stripe stands up to be counted. Then the year turns, the first storm slides down off the ridge, and the same trucks go back out with plows and salt to open driveways before anyone has poured a cup of coffee. Lawn care and snow removal are one job in this valley, really — keeping a piece of ground usable all the way around the calendar.
