Snow's Garden Center

About Snow's Garden Center

South of the Downtown Mall, where Avon Street runs down toward Biscuit Run, a storm morning is all shovel-scrape and idling engines. Snow's Garden Center clears a way through it — plowing drives and lots, cutting walkways down to bare concrete, treating the entries and the shaded slopes that hold their ice longest. Snow here tends to arrive wet and heavy off the mountains, which means moving it early and moving it once. Steps get finished by hand, corners included, because a machine can't reach them. Then the block gets its ordinary day handed back.
