Free Union sits where the Moormans River comes down out of Sugar Hollow, and the weather there does what the mountains tell it to. LC Marshall and Sons works those country lanes in both directions — mowing and trimming the open yards through the growing months, plowing and salting the same gravel once the hollow fills in.
