About Simmons Landscaping

The worst nights around here are not the deep snows; they are the ones when cold air wedges under the mountains and rain falls into it, glazing the world by two in the morning. Simmons Landscaping watches those closely, with the red lights on the Poor Mountain towers blinking somewhere up in the murk. Ice asks for patience: salt laid ahead of the storm where it will do the most good, then plowing and hand work once there is anything left to move. Driveways, walkways, front steps, and especially the pitch at the bottom of a hill where a tire gives up its grip. Morning arrives gray and dripping, and the surface underneath is dark and walkable, which on an ice night is the whole victory.
