About Phelps Landscaping

Out toward Back Creek the land opens into pasture and hayfield, and a low sun sets the frost on the stubble glowing by four in the afternoon. Phelps Landscaping works those long gravel drives and farm lanes, the kind where a plow has to know the ditch line by feel and not by sight. Snow comes off wide and banks back away from the mailbox and the turnaround, so the next storm has somewhere to go. The walk down to the road is taken to bare surface, and salt goes under the shade of a spruce where ice sets up first. It is honest ground to work, and a clear lane out on a cold morning is worth every bit of the early start.
