About Custom Landscape & Design

Camptown sits on the Isle of Wight County bank of the Blackwater River, a dark, slow stream lined with bald cypress whose knees rise from the water like a quiet congregation. Custom Landscape & Design handles the lawns here, and spring is when the work comes alive: the soil warms early in this low coastal plain, and the grass comes on thick and fast. Morning mist hangs over the river while the first yards are mowed, the stripes laid down even and the borders trimmed with a designer's sense of line. In flat country like this, where a lawn is visible from far down the road, those clean lines matter. By noon the mist is gone, the cypress stand sharp against the sky, and the cut lawns look as composed as anything along the river.
