About Rivas Design & Landscaping

For two weeks each April the dogwoods and redbuds open along Burke's older streets, and every yard is suddenly measured against them. Rivas Design & Landscaping works with that standard in mind, keeping lawns cut and edged, beds shaped and mulched, and borders drawn so the planting has something clean to sit against. A yard reads best when the green is even and the lines are deliberate; the rest is letting the shrubs do what they came to do. In the Longwood Knolls sort of neighborhood, where lots step down toward the woods, that shape has to follow the land instead of fighting it. Done right, it looks like the yard was always meant to be that way.
