About Valley Lawn Services

Snow tends to reach Broadway from the northwest, spilling down through Brocks Gap and laying itself across the valley floor while the ridges disappear entirely. Valley Lawn Services turns to the plow then, opening driveways and farm lanes on the back roads off Route 42 before the school buses make their first pass. There is real work in the second round too — wind here rebuilds a drift in an hour, and shaded walks need grit or they turn to glass by evening. Clearing, shoveling and de-icing carry a household through a stretch of days when nothing else moves. Watching a plowed lane fill with tire tracks by mid-morning is its own quiet reward.
