Wilson Lawn Service

About Wilson Lawn Service

By seven the trailer gate is already down on some Bristol side street, and the day is leaning warm — July sits heavy between these mountains until an evening storm knocks it loose. Wilson Lawn Service runs the weekly round: mow, trim, blow the walks, move on, then circle back when the grass says it is time again. In a town of brick storefronts and deep front porches, the yard is the first thing anybody reads, and it takes only straight passes and a crisp cut at the sidewalk to make a whole block look looked-after. The best minute of the job comes at the end of it, standing at the curb in a patch of shade, taking in a lawn that has been put back in order. Then the gate goes up and the next one is waiting.
