Shaw's Lawn and Landscaping

About Shaw's Lawn and Landscaping

Start with the sound: a mower opening up on a June morning, the drone rolling out across the hills that ring Bristol. Shaw's Lawn and Landscaping keeps yards here looking like somebody thought about them — grass held at an even height, a sharp line cut where turf meets the drive, walks blown clear before the gate goes up. Summer in this valley is green and generous, with thunder stacking over the mountains by late afternoon, and a lawn will grow every inch it can between visits. That is the pleasure of the route: coming back each week and making the yard read straight again, pass beside neat pass. The payoff arrives in the long evening light, when a fresh-cut lawn goes soft and even all the way to the sidewalk.
