About Roe's Landscaping

Winter reaches this valley before it touches the low country — the ridges hold the cold, and by morning the driveways on the Virginia side of State Street wear a plain white sheet. Roe's Landscaping works both halves of the Bristol calendar: plow blades and shovels while the dark still holds, mowers once the ground softens and lets go of its frost. There is a particular satisfaction in a lot cleared to bare pavement by first light, the piles stacked off in a corner where they steal nothing, the walkway salted before anyone reaches for a coat. Come April those same properties get the other kind of attention — grass cut to an even nap, a line drawn true along the concrete, clippings swept off before the truck pulls out. One town, two seasons, and a standard that does not change between them.
