Freedom Lawns South Richmond

About Freedom Lawns South Richmond

Bon Air began as a summer retreat — Richmond families rode the train out for the good air — and the old village still keeps its Victorian cottages, deep porches and enormous shade trees. Mowing under those oaks is its own art: dappled light, thin patches where the canopy wins, roots that make you choose your line. Freedom Lawns South Richmond mows, trims and edges through the long Virginia growing season, holds the walks and drives to a clean border, and clears away what comes down from old hardwoods. By late June the humidity settles over Chesterfield County and the grass never stops asking. The pleasure is in returning to the same yards week after week and watching them hold their shape.
