Winter reaches the ridge long before it touches the valley: the Parkway shuts its gates above town, the laurel stiffens with rime, and then one gray afternoon the snow comes down into Blue Ridge itself. Ridge Landscapes plows and shovels through that half of the calendar — driveways opened, walks cleared and treated with ice melt, so the first trip out in the morning is an ordinary one. Come April the same ground turns green and the work turns to mowing, trimming and edging, holding foothill lawns honest against a season that runs hard all summer. Knowing a property in both directions, under deep snow and under high grass, is its own quiet reward. Blue Ridge and the Botetourt communities nearby get the same attention either way.
