Wemow

About Wemow

On an October morning the fog lies in the low fields along Prices Fork Road until the sun finally climbs the ridge and burns it away, and Wemow is already out in it, finishing the last mows of the year. Blacksburg hands you both halves of the calendar honestly: months of thick, fast-growing turf, then a stretch when weather comes over the mountains and the only question that matters is whether the driveway is open. Wemow covers both — the mowing, the trimming, the fall cleanups, and then the plowing and the shoveled path from the door to the car once the ground goes white. It is plain, useful work, and it shows: a clear apron of pavement, a lawn cut to its borders, a house that looks tended from the street. One address at a time, that is what the crew is after.
