About Bedford Trucking and Grading

Route 460 runs the length of this county like a spine, and Bedford Trucking and Grading works both sides of it. When a winter system stalls against the mountains and the county wakes up buried, the plow is already moving — driveways opened, lots pushed back to bare pavement, salt down on the slick pitch of a shaded turn. Then April comes, the ditches run clear, and those same properties want mowing, edging and trimming instead. There is one satisfaction in handing somebody back their own driveway at six in the morning, and a different one in a mowed field with the cut lines still showing across it. Bedford sits between mountain weather and piedmont heat, and the work here has to answer both.
