Elaborate Landscapes

About Elaborate Landscapes

Axton is red clay and rolling Piedmont, the kind of ground that holds a mower line like a drawn pencil stroke. Elaborate Landscapes works those yards through the long green months, cutting, edging and shaping the beds until the border between grass and gravel is a clean, deliberate seam. Summer here comes in slow and heavy, and a lawn that stays tidy under it means something to the people who look out at it every evening. Winter is a different errand entirely — a few times a season the hills go white before daylight, and there is plowing and salting to do so nobody has to guess at their own driveway. Both jobs are really one job: make the place look cared for, and make it easy to come home to.
