About Advance Lawn Sprinklers and Landscaping LLC

Ashland sits where the Piedmont begins to tilt toward the coastal plain, and the red clay under its lawns holds water like a closed fist until August, when it lets go all at once. Advance Lawn Sprinklers and Landscaping LLC works those yards in the early hours, while the grass is still cool and a mower leaves a line you can read from the porch. Mowing here is a conversation with that clay: cut a little high in the heat, tighten the border where the beds meet the turf, keep the trimmer close along the walks. By mid-morning the cicadas have taken over the pines and the truck has moved on, leaving driveways swept and edges squared. It is ordinary work done in ordinary heat, and what it adds up to is a street that looks cared for.
