Allen's Lawn Service

About Allen's Lawn Service

The brick duplexes of Westover sit under oaks old enough to shade half a block, and a lawn there has to be read before it is cut. Allen's Lawn Service handles the mowing, the edging along walks and beds, the trimming where a mower can't reach, and the mulch that goes down once spring has warmed the ground for good. Arlington summers are humid and green and quick to grow, so the rhythm is steady — one week to the next, a fresh stripe laid down, clippings swept off the sidewalk before the truck leaves. Come fall the leaves let go all at once along Washington Boulevard, and they get gathered and hauled away. It is small, repeated work, and it shows in a hedge line that runs true and a yard that looks tended from the street.
