About Anomaly Gardens LLC

Callahan Creek runs right through the middle of Appalachia, and the town folds itself around that water the way a narrow gap makes you do. Anomaly Gardens LLC keeps the yards along those blocks — small rectangles caught between the road out front and the hillside out back. Mowing here is a matter of knowing the grade, the wet corner that never quite dries, the strip of grass that only gets sun for three hours in the afternoon. What comes out of it is a line you can follow with your eye from the sidewalk all the way to the porch steps. Trimmed close at the fence posts, edged clean at the walk, and left looking like somebody cared.
