About Novagrass24

September is the month Northern Virginia lawns have been waiting for: nights finally cooling, soil still warm, and fescue ready to come back from a hard August. We work that window — cutting lower going into it, clearing thatch and early leaf litter out of the way, and getting the ground open so new grass has somewhere to land. The rest of the year runs on a plain rhythm of mowing, trimming and edging, with mulch in the beds and every leaf cleared before winter sets in. Annandale's older yards have good ground under all that shade. Given the right week in early fall, they come back green in a hurry.
