Stringfellow's Tree Service

About Stringfellow's Tree Service

Amissville sits in the last of the rolling country before the Blue Ridge stands up, where board fence follows the hills and the Rappahannock runs cold and shallow below the fords. Stringfellow's Tree Service works the farms and homeplaces along the 211 corridor, taking hangers out over a run-in shed, trimming limbs off pasture fence, pruning the old trees that came with the house. Storms roll off the mountain toward Sperryville with real weight behind them, and the morning after there is always a locust down across a lane. It gets cut out, the brush goes, and the lane opens back up. A place out here ought to look kept, and a straight fence line and a sound tree are how it gets there.
