About River Valley Resources

October turns the ridges above the Staunton River the color of banked coals, and about a week later most of it is lying in somebody's yard. Leaf work is the long chapter of our year — clearing beds, fence corners and turf so the grass underneath doesn't smother through the wet months. Across the growing season we mow and trim on a set schedule, edge the walks, and freshen the mulch when the beds start to look thin. Spring cleanup opens the year the same way autumn closes it, everything raked back to bare and tidy. A valley yard has more falling on it than most, and we stay after it.
