KCDC

About KCDC

In Old Town the lawns arrive in fragments — a green square behind a brick wall on Prince Street, a courtyard strip off an alley, a front patch the size of a table. KCDC does lawn care at that scale, where the mower has to fit through a garden gate and the edge against two-hundred-year-old brick gets cut by hand. Spring comes up fast between those walls, warm and sheltered, and the grass answers before the rest of the city has thought about it. What's left is a small, deliberate green kept sharp against old masonry, the sort of thing people notice from the sidewalk without knowing why. Alexandria's oldest streets are worth that much trouble.
