About Cardinal Ridge Landscape

Lake Ridge stands on the bluffs above the Occoquan, where the reservoir shows through bare trees all winter and disappears entirely by the middle of May. Cardinal Ridge Landscape works both halves of that year — mowing, edging, trimming and leaf cleanup through the green season, then plowing, shoveling and salting the steep drives this hillside neighborhood is full of. Ground that falls away toward the river is the charm of the place and the difficulty of it: water runs, snow slides, and a mower has to be handled rather than pushed. Taking a sloped driveway down to bare pavement, corner to corner, is a genuine satisfaction on a cold Prince William County morning. So is a lawn laid out in parallel lines on a hill that would rather not have them.
