About Creation Appreciation Landscaping

Afton wakes up inside a cloud more often than not, the fog holding in Rockfish Gap until the sun burns a hole through it. Creation Appreciation Landscaping mows the slopes and shelves of yard that people have carved out of this mountain shoulder, where the ground tilts and the grass thickens on cool nights. Trimming up here means working around stone, root and orchard fence until the turf ends exactly where it should. Beds get mulched, edges cut in, and every load of clippings and leaves carried down off the hill instead of left in a pile. By afternoon, when the ridge finally shows itself the whole length of the Rockfish Valley, a finished lawn reads like one green step on a very large staircase.
