Randy's Lawn Service

About Randy's Lawn Service

Route 11 runs the whole length of the valley through Abingdon, and in November you can watch the season change along it — bare fields one week, a squall coming down the road the next. Randy's Lawn Service works both sides of that line: mowing, trimming, edging and fall cleanups while the growing lasts, then plowing, shoveling and salting once the pavement turns. Some years the last mow and the first push land inside the same fortnight. Little is more welcome than a driveway opened before the workday, unless it is a lawn cleared of leaves before snow buries them. The valley is long and its seasons are quick; the truck stays loaded for whichever one shows up.
