About JB Landscaping & Construction

West Valley City takes its evening light from the west, the sun sliding down behind the Oquirrh ridge until every yard on the block runs gold for twenty minutes. That is the hour JB Landscaping & Construction likes best — the last pass of the mower drawn straight, the edge along the walk cut clean enough to throw its own small shadow. Lawns here are asked to hold a line between mountain and desert, and they do it on mowing, trimming, feeding and a steady watch on the weeds. The crew works the grid of streets on the west side of the valley and blows the clippings off the concrete before the truck door shuts. Come August, when the grass wants to go tired and pale, they push it back to green.
