The Greenthumb Gearhead

About The Greenthumb Gearhead

Blades sharpened Sunday night, fuel cans filled, tire pressures checked — the day begins in the garage well before it begins on anybody's lawn. The Greenthumb Gearhead runs on that habit, and West Valley City yards get the benefit, because a sharp blade cuts grass instead of tearing it and the difference shows two days later at the tips. The list is mowing, edging, string trimming, fertilization, weed control and seasonal cleanups, carried out with machines that are actually kept up. Summers in this valley are long and dry and hard on turf and equipment alike, so both get looked after. By six in the morning the truck is warm and the first gate is open.
