About Summer Creek Services

The Wellsville Mountains rise off the valley floor faster than almost any range in Utah, and in July their shadow reaches town before the last hayfield has been cut. Summer Creek Services works Wellsville lawns under that western wall — mowing, trimming and edging on a weekly turn that keeps a Cache Valley yard level and green through the hottest, driest stretch of the year. Water counts for a great deal here and grass shows every decision made about it, so cut height gets set to the weather rather than the calendar. In autumn the cottonwoods along the Little Bear let go all at once, and cleanups follow the wind's schedule instead of anyone else's. By the time the valley settles under its long grey inversion, the yards are already put to bed and waiting.
