Feller Stone

About Feller Stone

Veyo grew up beside an old volcano, a dark cinder cone rising at the edge of town, and the rough rock it left behind still lies scattered among the juniper and sage. Feller Stone offers lawn care in this small Washington County town, where yards share their ground with the remains of ancient eruptions. Autumn comes gently here: the summer heat eases off, low amber light slides across the cone's flank, and lawns get a second wind before winter's chill. A trimmed lawn edged by volcanic stone makes a striking picture, soft green pressed against rock that once ran molten. That contrast is what makes the work worthwhile, and it is worth slowing down on the drive through town just to see it.
