About Villegas Landscaping

West of town the ground goes black with old lava, and the lawns out that way are small green rooms held inside walls of it. Villegas Landscaping keeps them that way — mowing on a steady rotation, running the trimmer into every hard corner the rock makes, shaping hedges back before they crowd a walkway, hauling the clippings off instead of letting them bleach in the sun. Late in the day, when Red Mountain turns from rust to rose and the coolers start up along the street, a trimmed yard catches that light the way water does. Summer here is one long lesson in patience, so the feeding and the weed work run on a calendar rather than a whim. What lasts is the look of a place tended on an ordinary Tuesday — that is the whole of the ambition.
