The Leaf Relief Co.

About The Leaf Relief Co.

By mid-October the maples up Smithfield Canyon have turned, and the wind carries the results down into town drift by drift, into every window well and fence corner. The Leaf Relief Co. exists for that stretch: leaf cleanup, raking and hauling, clearing beds and lawns down to bare green before the first hard freeze seals everything in place. The rest of the year runs on mowing, edging, trimming, fertilizing and weed control, with a full clearing once the ground dries in spring. Grass smothered under wet leaves comes back thin, so getting them off in time is more than tidiness. There is a particular quiet to a yard swept clean in late fall, and it is worth every hour it takes.
