Wind knots the oak brush into odd shapes on the foothills above Bell Canyon, and in autumn that whole slope goes copper while the lawns below stay green a while longer. The Twisted Forest works the Sandy yards under that hillside, cutting through October until the grass finally slows and the mower goes quiet for the year. Every visit ends the same way: edges trimmed, corners squared, leaves cleared off the turf so nothing smothers over the cold months. Feedings through the season and aeration before the freeze are what let a lawn come back strong when the melt runs off the mountain in April. There is something satisfying about a tidy yard set against a wild slope.
