Strang

About Strang

Murray still keeps the old smelter smokestacks standing near the park, tall brick markers from a different industry, and the streets around them settle into a particular quiet once the snow starts falling in the evening. Strang runs a small operation through those blocks, a short list of driveways and walks worked the same careful way each storm rather than a wide territory covered thin. There's something to be said for a crew that knows every driveway on its list by name, no address needed. The work is modest in scale but not in care — plow, shovel, salt, repeat, until the block is done. By the next morning, the smokestacks stand over streets that are simply clear, the storm already old news.
