Rocky Mountain Snow Removal

About Rocky Mountain Snow Removal

The Salt Lake Valley sits in a bowl between two ranges, the Wasatch sharp and close on one side and the Oquirrhs low and blue in the distance on the other, and a storm coming through fills the whole space between them at once. Rocky Mountain Snow Removal works that width of ground street by street, plow blades down from the first flake through the last drift, without much regard for which side of the valley a call comes from. There's a plainness to the work that suits the landscape — wide, direct, no wasted motion between one job and the next. By dusk, when the peaks on both sides go the same shade of gray-blue, the streets in between are usually the clearest thing left in the valley. It's a big bowl to keep clear, and they take it one route at a time.
