About Mahalo Pro

From the corner of 9th and 9th, steam rising off a coffee cup is sometimes the only warm thing in sight while the sun comes up pink over the Wasatch and the street is still a smooth, untouched white. This crew starts there most winter mornings, working outward through the neighborhood one driveway at a time, plow first and then a broom pass to get the corners a machine always misses. There's a kind of quiet gratitude in finishing a block before most of the city has poured its second cup — work done, nobody watching, the street simply better than it was an hour before. By the time the shops along that corner unlock their doors, the sidewalks out front are bare and salted. It's a small trade, snow for a clear path, made new every storm.
