Holmes Lawn & Pest

About Holmes Lawn & Pest

August dusk near Liberty Park, and the heat finally lets go — sprinklers turning, wet concrete, the mountains going purple at the head of every east-west street. Holmes Lawn & Pest looks after the lawns in those blocks, through Liberty Wells and down toward the Ballpark, where lots are narrow and the trees stand tall enough to make mowing a matter of angles. Mowing, edging, string trimming, fertilization, and the cleanup rounds at either end of the growing season. The last pass is the one that counts: lines squared up, the walk swept clear, nothing left on the pavement. A small city yard, finished properly, holds the whole evening.
