Golden Grass Lawn Maintenance

About Golden Grass Lawn Maintenance

Late September, an hour before sunset: the light comes in low over the Great Salt Lake and every yard on Capitol Hill turns the color this company is named for. Golden Grass Lawn Maintenance keeps the small steep lots of the Marmalade streets and the blocks below Ensign Peak — mowing them clean, running the edger where turf meets old sandstone curb, trimming the corners no mower will ever reach. Up here the blocks tilt and the sidewalks step, so a straight cut takes some doing, and that is most of the pleasure of it. By the time the valley lights come on, the clippings are gone and the lines lie parallel all the way down the hill. Fall brings the leaf work; spring starts the whole rhythm over again.
