Blue Planet Lawn

About Blue Planet Lawn

The first mow of the year in Sugar House arrives with the sound of Parley's Creek running full, and the big lawn at the park greening in patches before the shade ever catches up. Blue Planet Lawn starts the season there and on the streets around it, cutting winter's mat back to something upright and bright. Through the summer it is a weekly conversation with the grass: mow, trim the awkward corners, edge the sidewalk so the line is honest again, blow the walks clear. Yards in this part of Salt Lake City are old and full of trees, which means no two passes are the same and the work stays interesting. A lawn that looks even from the street is a small thing, and it is worth doing well.
